This past school year, CR-B 3rd grade ELP students participated in a state-wide poster contest sponsored by the Belin-Blank Center's Inventiveness Programs. Invent Iowa invited all students in grades K-12 to create a solution to this year's problem: "More than Just Trash: From Refuse to Reuse!!" Over 500 young artists from across Iowa created inventions and artwork for the 2009 Vision of Inventiveness program. Natalee Hart (daughter of Kevin and Jill Hart, Coon Rapids) and Kayla Lenz (daughter of Larry and Rhonda Lenz, Coon Rapids) received Honorable Mention for their posters depicting their inventions. Natalee recycled a milk jug to create her Cat/Dog Feeder and Kayla recycled pop tabs for her Mail Carrier. Congratulations to both students!
