The site for this year's WCAC Art Fair was located at the Panorama School District. The morning of Saturday, May 10th the art instructors from the WCAC conference set up their students art displays. This year Mr. Davis took the work from eight of his high school students. After all the displays were set up the judges came in and spent the afternoon judging the different categories. In all there were a total of 30 categories, ranging from Airbrushing to Master Studies. There was a total of over 1,300 pieces of art entered this year.
On Monday, May 12th the instructors could bring students back down to the Fair where they could spend the morning attending demonstrations, workshops, and artists talks. During that time students got to experience different techniques through hands-on experience and by listening how other artists have mastered techniques and worked in that medium.
This year CR-B had two students who were recognized with awards for their work.
Sady Potter, a Senior, placed 2nd in the category of Lettering/Poster/Graphics - advertising, illustrations, logos, cartoons, camera-ready art. Her work entitled "You Say You Want A Revolution" which consisted of a grouping of three pieces. Sady also earned a 3rd Place in the category of Color Figure Drawing. This work was entitled "Radium Eyes".
Kelly Kopaska, a Junior, received a Honorable Mention for his work entitled "Bass". Kelly's piece was entered in the category of Color Objective Drawing.
The Fair was open to the public.
